THERESE A. HENDRICKS’ practice is interdisciplinary — she works with clients to build a patent portfolio based on core technologies and maximizes their protection through multiple claim strategies. She then assists clients in using their portfolios in licensing, selective enforcement and defensive assertion against competitors.
Therese has taken a similar approach to technology, having started in materials science engineering, later acquiring an electrical engineering degree, and recently completing an intensive post-graduate program in computer science.
Prior to joining the firm, Therese was a partner at two other Boston IP firms and an associate in New York. She served as Manhattan Special Assistant District Attorney for the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York and as an arbitrator for the New York State Court in civil actions.
Therese is admitted to practice in select federal and state courts in New York and Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Therese holds a B.S. in ceramic engineering from the University of Illinois, a B.S. in electrical engineering from Northeastern University, a post-baccalaureate certificate in computer science from ArsDigita University, and is a graduate of Northwestern University Law School.
